The National Cultural Foundation (NCF) is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament in 1983. Its mandate is to oversee the cultural landscape of Barbados. During Celia & Kris's journey in Barbados, they were welcomed and accompanied by, Alicia Payne Hurley, The Cultural Brand Officier of NCF. The Documentary plays a huge part here as we emerge our story with Celia & Kris with the younger dancers at NCF in the dance studios on the grounds. With the foundation's multi-fascinated dancers, the students are separated by year of expertise/experience on the floor and the ability to perform during events (i.e 1st year, 2nd year, etc).
The NCF’s role revolves around the preservation of our cultural heritage and promotion of all forms of art and culture, both tangible and intangible through developmental and commercial programmes and products. The functional spectrum ranges from, generating cultural awareness at the grassroots level to promoting cultural exchanges at an international level. In its developmental role, the Foundation uses culture as a tool for national development, fostering and supporting the various art forms and new cultural products. In its commercial role, the Foundation is responsible for the promotion, production and hosting of cultural festivals and associated events.
A key part of this function now includes the responsibility for the staging and execution of major governmental and national events. In addition, as culture becomes more pivotal to national and international policy, the National Cultural Foundation continues to re-assess its responsibilities in light of all its functions.

Where most humble beginnings took place, Celia Grannum, couldn't pass up the movement by not going to Louise Woodvine Dance Academy to show 'The Children' (young dancers) and her dance ballet instructor, Louise Woodvine, her and Kris's renowned approach to their professionalism in dance. The LWDA is a dance school offering classes in ballet and jazz dance. It follows the Royal Academy of Dance ballet syllabus. Celia grow up with Louise learning her ways and being parts of the major theatrical dance events for the island while in the LWDA.
Louise Woodvine takes in a huge number of dance children of all ages and experiences and cultivates them through formality of dance. She not only teaches ballet, but as well as jazz dancing, contemporary dance and many more! Her approach to teaching the children in her academy has never come short from perfection, so when Celia and Kris reached out to her to Giveback their wisdom and knowledge, she was open arms to receive the team into her studio. As developing young kids in the dance world, there is much imagery to put into place for dance and Kris and Celia have really made the exclamation point into delivering such understandable momentum so the children can take in and use for their own development.

PowerHouse Studios, established in September 2017, is an exciting dance training centre here on the beautiful island of Barbados. Founder & Owner, Megan Navarro, graduated from Canada’s National Ballet School’s ‘Teacher Training Program’ with Honours, becoming fully qualified to teach all forms of dance to all ages. Megan also completed a three year Professional Training Program at the School of Toronto Dance Theatre again graduating with Honours. Megan accepted a full time teaching position back in Barbados and has been throughly enjoying working home.
The mission of PHS is to create powerful individuals, mini powerhouses, with a well rounded dance background. PHS allows for children and adults to take part in a wide selection of movements classes in a stress free, fun environment. During Celia and Kris's Giveback journey, Megan invited their insight and dance choreography to Megan's powerhouse of talent. Empowering the mind, soul, and body through dance, Celia and Kris had serval tactics to show the ballet curriculum to the students. With ampul amounts of analogies, the kids were open and willing to do all the 'weird' things that have proven to be a comfortable and successful approach to dancing with young talent. They are able to stick it to heir minds and use it with their other techniques during their powerhouse development phases.
